"The Blacklist: Redemption" premiere looms ahead and NBC finally unveiled its first ever trailer. The short clip gave viewers the first glimpse of Tom Keen's (Ryan Eggold) father Howard (Terry O'Quinn) and Matias Solomon (Edi Gathegi) -- a member of the trained black ops that Tom's mother led. Aside from these two characters, viewers will also witness a strange relationship between Tom and his mom Scottie Hargrave (Famke Janssen), according to TV Guide.
The trailer also teased viewers the conflict between Tom and his wife Liz (Megan Boone). It's still unclear why Tom decided to join the new organization and walk away from Liz and their daughter Agnes. The report quotes Red Reddington (James Spader) saying that there's more to Tom than meets the eye. He warns that Tom is an extremely talented covert operative.
While it's certainly doubtful to trust someone like Red, fans would just have to wait until "The Blacklist: Redemption" airs in February. "The Blacklist: Redemption" will see the world's most elusive criminals from Red's infamous list coming together to form an elite mercenary team, Yahoo TV narrated. This elite group will redeem themselves after a lifetime of inflicting damage to the world.
"The Blacklist: Redemption" will premiere on Thursday, February 23 on NBC. "The Blacklist" spinoff series will air for eight weeks in the flagship's timeslot at 10 p.m. before "The Blacklist" season 4 returns on April 20. The original series will air a two-hour episode when it returns on April. Stay tuned for more updates on "The Blacklist: Redemption!"
