It's no secret that "The Last Man on Earth" has a tendency to employ Will Forte's "SNL" castmates, so it was only a matter of time before Kristin Wiig joined the Fox series. However, fans still wonder why the comedienne's new role in the show is shrouded in secrecy. Will Wiig's character turn out to be an important addition when "The Last Man on Earth" Season 3 returns in March? Will she be in any way connected to Philip Tandy in the latter half of the third season?

According to TVLine, Fox confirmed that Kristen Wiig will be introduced in a mystery role in the latter half of "The Last Man on Earth" Season 3. However, the network did not offer any further details about Wiig's character other than her appearing in more than just one episode. Nevertheless, fans are delighted with the idea that the "SNL" alum will be reunited with Will Forte once again.

Kristen Wiig and Will Forte may have initially worked together on "SNL", but the two have often collaborated in several projects. Their most recent reunion was in Forte's 2010 film "MacGruber". Hopefully, Wiig and Forte will continue working together long after "The Last Man on Earth" Season 3.
