There is good reason why gamers are so excited about "Injustice 2". NetherRealm continues to tease on the sequel's awesome gameplay and storyline, which is set to showcase Batman's strained relationship with the new Robin. After all, the title's take on the Boy Wonder will be Bruce Wayne's son Damian Wayne and not Dick Grayson.

Fans have long speculated about the identity of Robin in the NetherRealm game, but it has finally been confirmed in the new "Injustice 2" gameplay trailer. In addition to that, the actor who provides the voice for the DC hero has admitted that he is playing Damian Wayne in the highly anticipated sequel.

Voice actor Scott Porter took to Twitter to celebrate the release of the new "Injustice 2" gameplay trailer. Porter, who provides the voice of Robin in the title, confirmed that his character is Damian Wayne. Although the tweet didn't offer too many clues about the new Robin's storyline, the gameplay trailer certainly hints on the possibility that Batman blames Damian for the death of Dick Grayson.

The gameplay trailer opens with Batman confronting Robin, who declares that he is the Caped Crusader's only son. However, Batman responds that he also considered "Dick" as his son. There is little doubt that he is referring to Dick Grayson, who may have met his end because of Damian.

Batman and Damian Wayne has always had a complicated relationship in the DC animated films so it would be interesting to see how this is played out in the new NetherRealm title.
