Lauryn Hill 2017: Singer Breaks Silence After Showing Up 3 Hours Late For Pittsburgh Concert
Lauryn Hill is creeping back up in headlines, but this time it's not because of her amazing voice and music. The Fugees vocalist scratched her reputation after getting into some of her fans' nerves for arriving three hours late in her Pittsburgh concert. Now, the singer is breaking her silence regarding her poor behavior.
No matter how awesome Lauryn Hill is, some fans just don't feel that she is worth the three-hour wait. While there are still a fraction of the audience left when the 41-year-old singer, record producer and actress arrived, disappointed fans have already exited with a brand new bad impression of the "Sister Act 2" star.
Realizing her mistake, Lauryn Hill finally broke her silence and apologized for making the audience wait that long. Although she did say sorry for her tardiness, the iconic singer blamed the whole thing to New York City's bad weather. Lauryn Hill took to her Facebook page to explain what really happened, saying that the snow left some of her band and crew to be stuck at the LGA airport.
Lauryn Hill then added that the promoter already notified people regarding the delay through social media and the new start time was noted. Obviously, the announcement was not sent out early enough as people started to arrive with the original concert time in mind. The "Killing Me Softly With His Song" superstar then shared that she will be having another concert in Pittsburgh to make up for what happened.
Although the snow and the band and crew being stranded is quite reasonable enough for the three-hour delay, many are not that moved by Lauryn Hill's explanation. For those who have been following the singer's career, they are less than shocked by the Pittsburgh concert incident for Lauryn Hill is well-known for being late.
