A furious mother, Laverne Crosebourne, 35, blasted a school after her daughter was given a cervical cancer vaccine without her permission. Shian Nichols, 13, came home and told her mother she received the controversial human papillomavirus (HPV) jab.

The mother-of-two did not want her daughter to have the injection. She read about possible health risks, such as seizures, early menopause and in some cases, death. There was a case last April where a 13-year-old Shazel Zaman from Bury in Great Manchester died five days after having the jab at school.

On Tuesday she was stunned after the 9th grader went home from school and told her she got the jab. Laverne asked Shian who gave her permission to have the injection; her daughter said "my teacher rang you earlier." She only had one missed call from the school and didn't get to speak to anyone.

Laverne claimed she already refused permission from Top Valley Academy in Nottingham for Shian to have the HPV jab last year. The head teacher at Top Valley Academy, Sean Kelly he could not comment about individual children.

According to Daily Mail, Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, which sent an immunization team to the school, claimed Shian agreed to the HPV jab. They said the legal decision was down to the girls themselves as long as they understand the procedure.

Laverne said she was not even asked me if Shian had an allergy. She added "How disgusting to realize the blatant disregard of the policies and practices in regards to duty of care."

The Sun reported Laverne has criticized teachers and the NHS immunization team for giving the vaccine with parental consent. But health officials that operated the immunization said that a parental consent form was not returned for Shian when she was in 8th grade.

The American College of Paediatricians found premature ovarian failure (POF), or premature menopause, had been linked to the vaccine in the US. There had been 213 cases of premature menopuase reported in girsl since 2006, where 88 percent were girl who had the HPV jab.
