For those who aren't sports fans, last night's Super Bowl was just another reason to watch television. There was a slew of interesting new commercials and trailers to look forward to. One in particular is that of the upcoming "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2," which is set for a May 5 release.

The film featuring swashbuckling adventures brings back several stars of the franchise, including Chris Pratt as Star-Lord, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Dave Bautista as Drax, Michael Rooker as Yondu, and Karen Gillan as Nebula. Of course, there's also the return of Bradley Cooper as the voice of Rocket Raccoon and Vin Diesel as the ever so lovable Groot, this time in baby form.

According to The Verge, new Super Bowl trailer rounds up the gang in "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2," and features the addition of Yondu and Nebula to the team. Fans could remember that Nebula was a former villain, playing minion to the evil Ronan the Accuser (Lee Pace). This time, however, it seems that she has switched sides and is ready to fight for good. Writer and director James Gunn returned to the franchise to create the sequel, which features swashbuckling adventures.

As the new Super Bowl trailer rounds up the gang in "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2," it is still not clear who exactly will play the villain in the film. One thing is for sure, though, fans will get to see more of Pom Klementieff‘s Mantis, who provided some comic relief in the first trailer for the movie. While the highly anticipated participation of Kurt Russel as Ego wasn't featured in the trailer, fans are excited to see Peter Quill find his father. It seems that viewers will have to wait until May 5 to see Russell in action as Ego.

In the meantime, fans are encouraged to follow the social media savvy James Gunn on Facebook and Instagram, as he regularly posts his musings on his creative process with "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2," which features swashbuckling adventures. The film has a release date of May 5.
