A 'Castlevania' Show Is Coming To Netflix This Year, Is It Too Violent?

Netflix is preparing for another exciting series with their announcement in a press release. Get to know more about "Castlevania" Season 1, Part 1, which is reportedly coming to Netflix in 2017.

There are still no confirmations whether the series will be a live-action adaptation or an anime-type. The people who will be working behind the production are still not final. But, based on the a post of Adi Shankar, saying that he will be producing a violent and dark "Castlevania" series with his other co-workers Fred Seibert and Kevin Klonde, it could be a hint of the men working on the said project.

Shankar, is the person behind the success of a science fiction fan film entitled "Power Rangers". According to him, the series that they are about to create will be a bit of satirical and will lead to a modern perspective of vampire movies. Seibert, one of the producers of the cartoon "Adventure Time", already gave some hints about this project last year. He said that he was on the production of something that is based on a popular video game in late 1980s. Comic veteran and producer Warren Ellis will complete the team-up for the said project,.

"Castlevania" the video game

The video game "Castlevania" is a concealed and dark Middle Aged fantasy, which focuses on the last member of the disgraced Belmont Family who tries to rescue Eastern Europe from the Vlad Dracula Tepe's hand, according to GameSpot. This game was indeed very famous in 1989 and it is not surprising that adaptations are coming. The adaptation of the game in an animated series is produced by Frederator Studios under Unlimited Media Company.

The Verge posted that there is still no official word if "Castlevania", the series Shankar is talking about is connected to the Netflix announced in their press release.
