There's only a few months to go before the highly anticipated "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" hits theaters this May. The exciting new sequel to the 2014 film of the same name will bring back Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, and Vin Diesel to reprise their roles, and welcome new Guardians Nebula, Mantis, and Yondu to the fold.

In addition, there's also Kurt Russell, who is set to appear as Peter Quill's father, Ego. Ahead of the release of the film, a new TV spot released for "Guardians" promises more action, but the film won't directly connect to "Infinity War." According to GameSpot, a new TV spot released for "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" features the gang kicking butt as usual, with swashbuckling adventures leading up to them saving the galaxy once more from evil.

The clip is only 30 seconds long, but it does show the main characters teaming up to fight another evil that threatens the extinction of all of the galaxy's inhabitants. As expected, the main stars of "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" are appearing in the upcoming "Avengers: Infinity War." However, note that this upcoming "Guardians" film won't directly connect to "Infinity War."

According to Movie Web, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige explained that the upcoming "Guardians" flick "Will inform future things, but here's nothing that nods directly towards it." This means that while "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" star Chris Pratt will be in the third "Avengers" flick, the upcoming "Guardians" won't directly connect to "Infinity War."

The highly anticipated "Avengers: Infinity War" is set to arrive in May 2018 and has in fact begun filming in Atlanta. Marvel released a new video teasing the team up of Iron Man, Star-Lord, and Spider-Man in the upcoming highly anticipated ensemble film. Meanwhile, "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" is set to arrive this May 5. Check out the new TV spot released below.
