It looks like an old speculation is finally coming true. Fans have long been hoping that "Game of Thrones" Season 7 star Maisie Williams will be cast as Marvel heroine Wolfsbane in the highly anticipated comic book film "The New Mutants". Now director Josh Boone has teased a confirmation that Arya Stark will portray Rahne Sinclair in the "X-Men" spinoff film.

The idea of Maisie Williams playing a mutant is not exactly a new theory. The "Game of Thrones" Season 7 actress has already been a fan favorite to portray Wolfsbane since "The New Mutants" was announced last year. Williams even expressed interest in being Rahne Sinclair in the "X-Men" spinoff film. Josh Boone recently tweeted the awesome art of Ashley Guillory depicting Maisie Williams as Wolfsbane. The director of "The New Mutants" tagged the Mid-World artist as well as the "Game of Thrones" Season 7 actress in his post. The tweet immediately had fans going crazy on social media, as it appeared that Boone is confirming that Williams is on board to play Rahne Sinclair in his movie.

But is it possible that Josh Boone was simply teasing fans with Ashley Guillory's artwork? Although the post appears to confirm that Maisie Williams has already joined the cast of "The New Mutants", it is important to remember that the actress still has a major commitment with "Game of Thrones" Season 7. There is a possibility that Boone is still trying to convince Williams to work around her schedule so she can play Rahne Sinclair in his movie.

There is no release date yet for Josh Boone's "The New Mutants". However, fans can expect to see Maisie Williams in "Game of Thrones" Season 7, which premieres on HBO this summer.
