Each time a massive sale is made by any company, such sends mixed signals. The most popular conclusion is, of course, the impending release of a new device which in this case is the Microsoft Surface Pro 5. The Redmond company has actually been offering big discounts since December 2016, offering folks the chance to own a Surface Book at a pretty affordable price.

Folks fascinated with the Surface Book could get hold of one for as low as $1,299, according to Thurrott, which is already a big price-off considering the pricing scale. Aside from the Surface Book, the price cuts also cover variants such as the Surface Pro 4. The 2-in-1 device is available via different specifications with the cheapest one costing only $699. From that point, the price fluctuates depending on the internal specs as well as the option of getting a Surface Pen or not.

Most of the Microsoft Surface series sales are valid until next week (Feb. 25). With some folks reportedly disappointed with the MacBook Pro 2016, this could be the best chance to see if Microsoft does indeed have a device worth shifting to. If the buying decision is still uncertain, waiting for the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 could be ideal though expect it to be priced high.

It may only be a matter of time before the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 comes out, possibly at the Mobile World Congress 2017 happening by the end of February, CNet reported. The expected date of availability is by the Spring, a time where most devices seem to be coming out.

The Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is believed to be coming out with an Intel Kaby Lake chipset, 16 GB of RAM and may include a rechargeable Surface Pen. It will tote a much-improved battery as well with pricing expected to be the same as its predecessor before the price drops took effect back in December.
