Ben Affleck may no longer portray "Batman" according to latest rumors despite his critically-acclaimed portrayal of the DC superhero. In his absence, there are speculations suggesting that Armie Hammer may be the next "Batman" the DC fans will see.

Ben Affleck's refreshing portrayal in "The Batman" movie was both criticized and loved by many. Whatever case it may be, fans can agree that the actor's take was both novel and a welcome change. In fact, some fans are looking forward to him directing "The Batman," according to Screen Rant. However, speculations are rife that Affleck will no longer be helming the solo Batman movie. More so, he won't be portraying the DC character anymore.

At first, Ben Affleck dropped the offer to direct "The Batman" solo movies. Warner Bros. was quick to look for a replacement and news of Matt Reeves as his likely successor soon followed. Now, it appears that the actor has decided to pull out from the DC franchise altogether. An insider from Collider claims that three separate sources involved with Warner Bros. revealed that Affleck is looking into leaving the role of Batman very soon. He is reportedly in discussions with Warner Bros. over this decision.

It's been previously rumored that Ben Affleck may leave "The Batman" solo movies despite publicly saying that he is committed to the project. In turn, Warner Bros. may have a hard time looking for his replacement given his great award-winning acting skills. However, fans are quick to pin down possible replacements for Affleck in case the rumors are true. In fact, speculations of Armie Hammer replacing him are starting to make rounds on the Internet.

It should be recalled that Armie Hammer took up the Batman's role in George Miller's "Justice League Mortal," which failed for various reasons. This could be Hammer's second chance at playing Batman, Cosmic Book News noted. Rumors of Hammer joining the DC cinematic universe started when Geoff Johns was revealed to follow Hammer on Twitter. Fans were quick to speculate that he may be portraying Green Lantern or the Caped Crusader.
