Hollywood veteran actor Harrison Ford became famous after he played the role of Han Solo for "Star Wars". In real life, one of his regular activities, when he is not in front of the camera is exploring the air using his own aircraft.

But this hobby, has put the life Harrison Ford in danger several times, and the latest was the incident that happened in California last Feb. 13. As reported by Fox News,the 74-year old actor was instructed to settle his single-engine aircraft on a runway at John Wayne Airport in Orange County, but he regrettably landed it on an identical taxiway, passing over an American Airlines plane operating nearby.

Although no one was harmed because of the error by the veteran actor. The passengers of the American Airlines plane safely reached their destination.

Harrison Ford is also known in the American showbiz industry as an avid vintage aircraft collector and he is extremely fond of operating his own plane. In a report posted by New York Times, it is stated that authorities and aircraft experts are currently conducting investigations regarding the incident.

According to Mr. Ian Gregor, spokesman for the investigating team, Harrison Ford was maneuvering the plane by himself when the mistaken landing happened. Harrison Ford had been involved in some aircraft related incidents over the years. 18 years ago he was on training and on flight using Belle 206, when the plane had an emergency landing on a dry riverbed.

No one was reportedly hurt on that aircraft mishap, but the plane was substantially wrecked. Two years ago, the actor has encountered another flight related mishap. He had to do emergency landing on a golf course in California because of engine malfunction during the middle of the flight.
