Gwen Stefani will be seen as a judge on "The Voice" Season 12 and she will be competing against her real life boyfriend and fellow judge Blake Shelton. The pop superstar teases her on-screen rivalry with Shelton.

Stefani is back with a bang and this is the first time there will be a direct competition between her and Shelton as coaches. This new and interesting dynamic between the duo is something which their fans will definitely want to follow closely.

Stefani recently discussed her dilemma with Yahoo! TV. She indicated that while part of her wants to discuss the show and the participants with her beau, she is then like, "Wait a minute. I'm not gonna talk to you about this." She finds her feelings confusing on those occasions, as she does not know whether to treat him as her foe or not.

However, though there is an element of competition between her and Shelton in "The Voice" Season 12, Stefani did admit that they are cooperative towards each other at times. The pop star shared that they actually help one another. Stefani added, "I've learned a lot about country music through.... just in the last year through him. It is interesting."

Meanwhile E! News reported that season 12 may find the bromance of Blake Shelton and Adam Levine getting overshadowed by the camaraderie between Alicia Keys and Gwen Stefani. Shelton's girlfriend returns this season after being off for two previous seasons.

Keys was full of praises as she shared her reaction on the return of Gwen Stefani this season. She said she is super excited and declared that Stefani is her friend. Keys gushed, "She is such a beautiful soul and I love her style and her kindness and sweetness." The musician also added, "She's a very, very genuine person."

Stefani also praised Keys by saying that she is extremely inspiring. It appears that both these female judges are immensely fond of each other.
