'Girl Meets World' Cancellation: Show Still Homeless; Michael Jacobs Expresses Disappointment
Televiewers of Disney Channel's "Girl Meets World" are sad to learn that the show is already cancelled. Now, many are wondering if the girls and their show will be finding a new home soon.
According to The Wrap, the show runner of "Girl Meets World," Michael Jacobs expressed his feelings about the cancellation of the TV series. Jacobs unveiled that he is not yet done with the story of Riley Matthews and her group of friends.

The showrunner even admitted that he disagrees with the network's decision to cancel the series. Fans are hoping that Hulu or Netflix would pick up the show.
“We are certainly having discussions, there are some interested platforms,” Jacobs said. “I do not think ‘Girl should have been canceled. We signed to do four seasons. I thought we would be able to tell stories through four seasons. That is the way we set it up. It was going to be a remarkable final year. But I understand, things end.”
An insider even claimed that "Girl Meets World" only had a contract until season 3 with Disney Channel. The show allegedly had an option for the fourth season. “The decision to not option a fourth season of ‘Girl Meets World’ was made after careful consideration of many factors,” Disney Channel said in a statement.

Disney Channel even stated that they are happy to being able to present the viewers with more that 70 episodes. As of now, Jacobs believes that a decision will be given in the next few months or sooner. Jacobs also unveiled that every cast member will be back, as soon as the TV show continues.
MStarsNews also unveiled that the show will eventually find a new home, if not with Disney. Although, Jacobs is disappointed, he believes that there is another network which will be interested to pick up the show.
As of this date, Michael Jacobs's show, "Girl Meets World" is yet to find a new network after the cancellation news.
