Little Tikes, of Hudson, Ohio has announced a recall of more than a half a million toddler swings after reports that children were injured when the plastic seat cracked or broke. The company has received about 140 reports of the swing breaking. This included 39 reports of injuries to children.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission said on Thursday that the injuries included bruises, abrasions, cuts and bumps to the head, and two children sustained a broken arm. The recall is for the 2-in1 Snug'n Secure pink toddler swings. There have been about 540,000 units of the toddler swings ordered to be recalled.

The toddler swings have a pink T-shaped restraint in front with a Little Tikes logo. The swing is suspended by four yellow ropes.

The model number is 615573 that are molded on the back of the seat along with a manufacturing date code stamp. The company said the swing may be included in the recall if the molded inner arrow of the date code stamp points to "10", "11", "12" or "13."

CBS Miami reported that in addition, swings with a date code stamp of "9" on the inner arrow combined with "43" or higher number stamped on the outer are also included in the recall. The Ohio-based company said no other date codes or other colored swings are affected.

According to News10 the swings were sold at Toys "R" Us, Walmart and other stores nationwide and online from November 2009 through May 2014 for about $25.

Parents are advised to immediately stop using the products and contact the company for a refund or a credit toward the purchase of another Little Tikes product.
