Jackman is now 48 years old, and is wrapping up his stint as the clawed mutant with the highly anticipated "Logan," which opens two days from now. Recently appearing on "The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon," Hugh Jackman credits Jerry Seinfeld for convincing him to quit Wolverine once and for all.

According to GameSpot, the actor shared how it was the iconic Jerry Seinfeld, who, two years ago, advised him "not to run yourself dry" and "making sure that you creatively have something left." The actor partnered with "Kate and Leopold"'s James Mangold, who wrote and directed "Logan," his final bow as the "X-Men" superhero.

Fearing that the studio won't be thrilled at the idea because it might be too dark, Jackman was relieved when the studio gave it a go.
