Since the release of the first movie “Avatar” in Dec. 2009, with predictions amid hints and promises surrounding the making of its next installment, it's most-awaited sequel “Avatar 2” is reported to be all set to go under production. Keep reading for more details on this exciting news. 

The director of blockbuster movies like “The Terminator” and “Titanic,” James Cameron is reportedly all set to commence filming “Avatar 2” on Aug. 15 this year and science fiction movie lovers are expecting the events to take place in Pandora. According to The Christian Post, the film’s production is expected to start at Manhattan Beach in California. However, we are yet to know whether or not “Avatar 2” will be filming in important locations in New Zealand, which is a known shooting location for “Avatar.”

"Avatar 2": What To Expect?

As far as the release of “Avatar 2” is concerned, the date Dec. 21, 2018 is tentatively reserved for Lightstorm film. Lightstorm is the name of the production company founded by James Cameron. A report released by Den of Geek claimed that Fox will be in charge of distributing the upcoming movies “Avatar 2” and “Avatar 3.”

Since James Cameron’s dream is making “Avatar 2” as a completely different sci-fi 3D movie, his technical team is presently able to develop underwater motion capture technology for the purpose of filming high definition underwater sequences. This is one of the main causes why “Avatar 2” is taking a longer time to get into production. However, the preparation started years back and now fans expect a superior level of experience from the movie.

“Avatar 2” is slated to hit the big screen on Dec. 2018. The next sequels (“Avatar 3, 4, and 5”) are expected to come out on Dec. 2020, 2022, and 2023 correspondingly. Stay tuned to know more about “Avatar 2.”
