MacBook Pro Latest News & Update: Apple CEO Tim Cook Hints At Improved Notebook Tailored For Creative And Professional Users

The MacBook Pro 2016 was a disappointment, both to the average and professional consumers. After a long wait, the refreshed Apple notebook came out with a new striking feature (Touch Bar) but bombed heavily on the inside. Apple stuck to the Intel Skylake chipset and made things worse with that 16 GB RAM limit.

While Apple did explain that all of that was to emphasize on energy-efficiency, the power users were obviously left out of consideration. Graphics artists and video editors would have a tough time doing their work with limited specs, technically indicating that most are better off with previous models or turn to the iMac instead.

With most software these days requiring bumped specs. The MacBook Pro 2016 seemed catered to the normal consumer. Apple CEO Tim Cook clarified that they have not forgotten about the creative and professional MacBook users, Mac Rumors reported. Most see this as an indication that a refreshed MacBook Pro is on the way. With the Intel Kaby Lake chipset now out, most anticipate a new device coming out this year (at the least) plus bumps in the RAM department.

The revelation of Cook during the Q&A session at the shareholder’s meeting is good news though there are other things the MacBook Pro has brought up. Aside from the low specs, there is the issue of the price. Hence, an upgraded MacBook Pro could cost more and this may eventually lead to further backlash, BGR reported.

Aside from the MacBook Pro, there are other Apple products that are due for a refresh. The list includes the iMac and the Mac Mini which could use a big refresh. There are some anticipating new devices to come out when Apple holds its Spring Event kicks off this April. The new iPad Pro 2 line is expected but there could be more devices appearing so stay tuned!
