‘Pirates of the Caribbean 5’ New Trailer Suggests End to Johnny Depp's Future As Captain Jack Sparrow; Beatles Member Cameo
"Pirates of the Caribbean 5" new trailer is out and it unravels some surprising things including a CGI version of a younger Johnny Depp. Although the previous movie from the franchise did not actually rake in the massive box-office collection it usually does, a sequel was of course expected.
However, over the years, the reputation and popularity of Johnny Depp has taken a dent - and maybe Disney realized it. Also, the franchise reportedly needs a younger face to take over as Captain Jack Sparrow.
Johnny Depp is certainly irreplaceable in the role. But even then, "Pirates of the Caribbean 5" trailer reveals a younger looking Johnny Depp, allegedly indicating that it is high time that the franchise gets a new, fresh face.
'Pirates of the Caribbean 5' Trailer Drops Subtle Hints About Depp's Sparrow
Disney has been releasing teasers and posters for the fifth sequel since some time. However, neither the posters nor the teasers focused on Captain Jack Sparrow. Rather, few of them even did not carry his mention. For the first time, the production team has come out with a trailer that talks about Captain Jack Sparrow, rather his CGI'd younger look.
Apart from the noticeable younger version of Johnny Depp, it is the tagline of the "Pirates of the Caribbean 5: Dead Men Tell No Tales" that is attracting more speculations. The tagline suggests that the final adventure is to begin and asks whether it is the last "Pirates of the Caribbean" movie, reports The Independent.
Now everyone knows that Disney is already working on the script of the sixth sequel. So, it means fans will get to see another movie or rather a reboot from the previous flick. But it can be the last one for Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow.
