New Smart Condom Can Rate Your Performance During Sex
A British company has created the world's first smart condom. It can rate sexual performances and can help detect sexually transmitted diseases too. The new i.Con Smart Condom is similar to a FitBit device, but for the penis.
The device is a ring that men can wear with a condom during sex. The ring will come with a one-year warranty and a micro-USB charging port that can provide up to eight hours of juice after a single hour of being plugged in according to The Huffington Post.
It has the capability to measure and provide all the statistics men would need to assess their sexual prowess. Data includes the duration of intercourse, calories burnt, number and speed of thrusts, measurement of girth, and different positions used per week, month or year. It helps detect sexually transmitted diseases such as Chlamydia and Syphilis according to Fox News.
The Nottingham-based company said that all information will be kept anonymous. Users will also have the option to share their recent data with friends or the world if they want. Just like other health monitoring devices, it also uses nano-chip and Bluetooth technology to send the data to a smartphone app.
Over 90,000 people have already pre-ordered the product and it is set to be released later this year for £59.99 or $75. British Condoms said they have been developing the unique product since 2016. The company has also been known for delivering condoms and other products since 1999.
Adam Leverson, the lead engineer on the i.Con project said that not only have they innovated the world's first smart condom ring that measures pretty much every aspect of performance in the bedroom, but they have confirmed that it will also have built-in indicators to alert the users to any potential sexually transmitted diseases present.
