'For Honor' News & Updates: Ubisoft Releases Sanctions For AFK Gamers To Avoid Cheats
Last Valentine's Day, "For Honor" was released to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC to great reviews. For the longest time, the hack and slash game from Ubisoft has been garnering praise since it was announced and since beta tests have been launched.
Now that the game is available to play, gamers are enjoying it thoroughly, but now, Ubisoft releases sanctions for AFK gamers to avoid cheats. Let's dive into details.
According to PlayStation Lifestyle, Ubisoft has announced several sanctions for AFK gamers to avoid cheating in "For Honor." AFK means away from keyboard, as gamers have found a way to keep their characters moving without really playing the game, and therefore keep reaping end-game rewards through the "farming" method. Ubisoft is addressing this as the studio releases sanctions for AFK gamers to avoid cheats.

Ubisoft announced that they are taking steps to prevent gamers from abusing the awards of "For Honor." According to the studio, the first offense will "trigger a warning" and the repeat violations will warrant a Ubisoft account suspension applicable on "For Honor" only. The studio added that "actual disciplinary action depends on the severity of the behavior" and that the penalties will be upon the studio's discretion. Note, however, that these sanctions will also require clear evidence before they are carried out.
In other "For Honor" news, Ubisoft also recently released a PC hotfix that addresses the Easy AntiCheat function in the game, as it had been causing problems for some gamers, as per VG247. The studio has made the notifications more user friendly and has corrected an error that incorrectly prevented players from entering the game. For this week, Ubisoft will release sanctions for AFK gamers to avoid cheats. To keep up on the latest on "For Honor," make sure to bookmark this page.
