A "Pokemon Go" player was reported to have suffered a heart attack and died after catching one of the rarest creature Lapras. However, the man has had cardiac issues long before the incident happened.

"Pokemon Go" players know the excitement and hardship in catching the animated creatures. Liang Weiming, a 67 year old man, is an avid player of the Niantic game. He was in level 28 and has collected over 200 Pokemon creatures. However, one creature named Lapras has been eluding him.

Weiming and his wife frequently visit Marina Bay Sands Resort in Singapore because it was a good spot for "Pokemon Go" hunting. It was in that resort hotel that the man was able to catch Lapras.

According to reports, Weiming just came from a birthday celebration when the incident happened. His wife narrated that he was so excited to catch the "Pokemon Go" character that he had a heart attack right on the spot. He was brought to Singapore General Hospital but doctors were unable to save the man. He was reported to have passed away shortly after arriving in the hospital.

Weiming was already diagnosed with heart disease in the past. According to Imperial College London researchers, one in six people have died from heart attack in English hospitals because the vital early warning signs have been missed.

The researchers also discovered that 16 percent of those who died of heart attack have been admitted in the hospital within the last 28 days. Warning signs could include chest pain.

The British Heart Foundation said that the result of the study is concerning and that more research is urgently needed. The hospital records of all 139,500 deaths in England due to heart attacks happened within a period of four years. Researchers are alarmed that 21,677 patients have made no mention of heart attack symptoms in their hospital records prior to the incident.
