By Vin Ross | Update Date: Mar 07, 2017 10:17 AM EST

Although there is still no exact date for the release of “Rick and Morty” Season 3, it is confirmed that this adult animated sci-fi show will have its premiere anytime in 2017. The third season was previously announced to hit the small screen last year but creators Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon failed to make it due to multiple compulsions. One of the reasons for the delay was the slow process in writing scripts.

Fans have already been teased by the creators of “Rick and Morty” Season 3 with regards to its release. They have also tried to excite the viewers with a 46-second video, which can be considered as sort of a sneak peek of the impending season.

Justin Roiland Tweets “Rick and Morty” Season 3’s Discontinuation?

A recent tweet by Justin Roiland is adequate in confusing fans, who have been constantly waiting for some positive updates. His tweet has raised plenty of questions in everyone’s minds and some have even called it funny or a bad joke. This type of reaction is mainly expected for the people experiencing suppressed frustration. “Rick and Morty” fans must have guessed that the creators may halt the project anytime.

According to Christian Today, while Roiland was up with his cancellation joke, Harmon later went at the Magic City Comic Con Panel where he said that “Rick and Morty” Season 3 will be back with 14 episodes. He further revealed that the show’s production is already active to complete the task sooner than later.

Harmon was asked about the premiere date of “Rick and Morty” Season 3 but he said that despite knowing it, he is not allowed to reveal it. On the other hand, the series writers, Erica Rosbe and Sarah Carbiener opined that third season has already been written months back. Now they are simply looking forward to the animation team for completing their task, reports Reporter Times.
