'Limitless' Season 2: Sequel Reportedly Gets Green Light For Renewal; Here's What We Know So Far

Viewers of "Limitless" Season 2 are still waiting for good news as to whether or not the series will get a green light to continue. Reports are still making rounds that it might get cancelled or renewed.

Per Celebeat, "Limitless" Season 2 has been officially cancelled. Yet, the showrunner of the CBS show allegedly has a plot planned for the supposed sequel. Craig Sweeny, the executive producer of the series unveiled that the story will still have NZT on it.

Producer Still Has A Plot for "Limitless" Season 2

"We do find a way for it to be Brian taking the NZT working with Rebecca (Jennifer Carpenter) and Boyle (Hill Harper)," Sweeny shared in an interview. "Limitless" tackles the life of the people who are inclined with the controversial drugs called NZT.

Reports suggested that Amazon and Netflix might have decided to skip on the TV drama because of the controversy it is linked to. However, fans are still hoping that the show would be able to find a new home.

A petition is even going around at the moment, as fans of the series are hoping to see another season of "Limitless." Perhaps, the show would be renewed if the sequel's fate is based on the tremendous amount of support it is receiving from its dedicated viewers.

Meanwhile, Cinema Blend unveiled that Sweeny still has some solid plans for the show. He promised to give more thrilling episodes to viewers if given a go signal to return. He also said that he and the rest of the crew will be making some changes in the story.

Reports claimed that the petition is still ongoing for "Limitless" Season 2. Perhaps, fans might still be able to see another storyline in a new home, yet the final decision still depends on the network.
