'Logan' Blu Ray Release Date: Director James Mangold Confirms Inclusion Of Black And White Version
"Logan" is finally out in theaters, with Marvel fans feeling emotional over Hugh Jackman's final bow as the mutant Wolverine. The film is highly acclaimed by critics and viewers alike, and with a film as big as this, fans are eager to get their hands on their own Blu Ray copy. So far, the film has earned $254.6 million worldwide, and while the "Logan" blu ray release date hasn't been announced yet, director James Mangold confirms inclusion of black and white version in the said media.
"Logan" Blu Ray Release Update
When director James Mangold released black and white images of the film on social media, "Logan" fans were quick to speculate that Hugh Jackman's final Wolverine film will be monochromatic. They even released a black and white clip before the film was released on the big screen. Now, however, director James Mangold confirms the inclusion of a black and white version in the "Logan" blu ray, Gamespot reported.
Director James Mangold said that the monochromatic "Logan" would be a "handsome" version of the now-showing film. The monochromatic "Logan" is a perfect vehicle in which to tell the somber story of the final days of the mutant Wolverine, as he struggles to keep an ailing Professor X alive, all while trying to protect Laura (X-23) from the wrong hands.
Wonderful essay. I love that our film is inspiring interesting follow up writing. https://t.co/HcXlhF9ZBp

The Only Film To Have Monochromatic Version?
As per Screenrant, "Logan" isn't the only film in recent history to have a monochromatic version to come out. "Mad Max: Fury Road" is also another film that was given the black and white treatment.
This is just another way that "Logan" sets the bar for superhero films moving forward. The way the story was told and how the film was created from the beginning is a departure from how the large, splashy Marvel and DC flicks are made.
