‘Avatar 2’ 2018 Release Pushed Back Again; More Waiting For ‘Avatar’ Fans, Says Cameron
Since the release of the first movie “Avatar” in Dec. 2009, the highly-anticipated sequel, “Avatar 2” has been postponed due to various reasons. However, the release was officially declared a couple of months back to take place on Dec. 21, 2018. Although, fans will be disheartened to hear that the 2018 launch is not happening.

In a recent interview with Toronto Star, director James Cameron said that “2018 is not happening.” “What people have to understand is that this is a cadence of releases. So we’re not making ‘Avatar 2.’ We’re making ‘Avatar 2, 3, 4 and 5.’ It’s an epic undertaking. It’s not unlike building the Three Gorges dam,” Cameron added.
Truly speaking, “Terminator 2: Judgment Day” director, Cameron is actually not interested in disclosing details about “Avatar 2.” It is quite clear from his conversation with the news outlet that he is also not ready for a launch in 2018.
Viewers Should Wait For Mammoth Surprises From James Cameron
Cameron further said that there is a high degree of enthusiasm at 20th Century Fox for the projects of making “Avatar 2” and other sequels. According to him, they are constantly immersing in the world in so much detail, that fans are still not able to imagine. It is his enjoyment to reveal those surprises in its own time.
He also revealed that he had completed working on the scripts for “Avatar 2” in the previous month. Since, it’s not about only a sequel, he has completed scripts on the other “Avatar” movies, reports The Christian Post. So now, fans would have to wait for another official date for the release of “Avatar 2.”
