Jennifer Lopez Leads 'World Of Dance'; NBC Releases Other Shows In Summer TV 2017 Schedule

Several new shows will premiere on the Peacock channel. NBC continued to strengthen its reign among its TV audience, with three brand new series. The list includes "Marlon," "World of Dance," and "Midnight, Texas."
"World of Dance" With Jennifer Lopez On NBC
"Shades of Blue" star, Jennifer Lopez will have a busy year ahead of her TV career. Aside from starring in the police drama series, she will lead "World of Dance" with Ne-Yo and Derek Hough. According to Yahoo!, Jenna Dewan-Tatum will also act as host and mentor.
Forty-seven lucky dancers will vie for the top spot and $1 million cash prize. However, they must first compete "in epic battles of artistry, precision, and athleticism." "World of Dance" will premiere on Monday, May 8 at 10 p.m.
"Midnight, Texas"
The supernatural drama from NBC follows the book of the same name from "True Blood" author, Charlaine Harris. "The Borgias" actor, Francois Arnaud will play th role of a charming psychic named Mandred. "Midnight, Texas" will debut on Tuesday, July 25 at 10 p.m.
In the series, Manfred will find refuge in the town of Midnight. He will also interact with Bobo (Dylan Bruce), a pawnshop owner. Other cast members include Parisa Fitz-Henley (Fiji), Arielle Kebbel (Olivia), Jason Lewis (Joe), Peter Mensah (Lemuel), Sarah Ramos (Creek), and Yul Vazquez (Emilio Sheehan).
"Marlon"
"White Chicks" actor, Marlon Wayans stars in a series loosely inspired by his life. The family sitcom follows Wayans as a co-parent to his two kids with his ex-wife. Joining him are Essence Atkins, Bresha Webb, Diallo Riddle, Notlim Taylor, and Amir O’Neil. The series will debut with back-to-back episodes. It will air on Wednesday, Aug. 16 at 9 p.m.
"America's Got Talent" Season 12, "The Night Shift" Season 4 Will Return Soon
Just like the previous schedules, the network announced the return of some TV staples. The list includes "The Night Shift" Season 4 and "The Carmichael Show" Season 2. NBC also revealed the schedule for the competition series that received a lot of ratings last season. "America's Got Talent" Season 12 will premiere next month.
Meanwhile, the month of June will have a jam-packed with four reality shows. Both "American Ninja Warrior" and "Spartan: Ultimate Team Challenge" will air on Monday, June 12. “Little Big Shots: Forever Young” (June 21), and "The Wall" (June 22) will soon follow.
According to Deadline, “Hollywood Game Night” Season 5 will debut on Monday, Aug. 7. “Saturday Night Live: Weekend Update" will return on Thursday, Aug. 10. Stay tuned for more updates.
