"This Is Us" Stars On Finale Episode
Last week, "This Is Us" wrapped up its pilot season with a heartbreaking twist. Rebecca (Mandy Moore) wanted a break from Jack (Milo Ventimiglia). But before that, the show featured a flashback on their unusual first meeting.
Both actors talked about the reason which led to their breakup. It was definitely painful for them to film the said scene. Ventimiglia felt guilty over his speech to his onscreen wife.
E! News reporter Kristin Dos Santos started an impromptu wedding counseling session onstage. According to Paste Magazine, the moderator asked the two to read a scene from "Friday Night Lights." Moore took the role of Tami, the wife of Eric Taylor from the series.
Will Fans See Jack Again?
One of the well-known theories about Jack's death is about the 9/11 attacks. Fans even pointed out Kate's dislike in riding airplanes and Kevin who threw away his model planes. The cast immediately debunked this possibility but kept mum on its connection to the 1994 Pittsburgh crash.
Is this the end for Jack? Well, EPs John Requa and Glenn Ficarra shared that they are yet to reveal details about season 2. But they said the next season might have a "new direction" for the character.
What Fans Can Expect In "This Is Us" Season 2
In "Moonshadow," Randall (Sterling K. Brown) and Beth (Susan Kelechi Watson) had the "baby" talk. They are interested in adopting their a kid after William (Ron Cephas Jones) died. According to Brown, Randall realized the gift of life and being part of the Pearson family.
According to EW, Kate (Chrissy Mentz) and Kevin (Justin Hartley) also have some big plans ahead of them. Mentz said that her character found her true calling, which is singing. The actress added that she would like to have a duet with her onscreen mother (Moore).
Meanwhile, it seems that Kevin is not yet ready to walk down the aisle. The budding actor is busy in securing a spot in a Ron Howard-directed movie. Hartley said that he wanted Kevin to "have the girl and the movie" in the end.
NBC has renewed "This Is Us" for two more seasons. The second installment will premiere soon. Stay tuned for more updates.
