Two years ago, moviegoers were shown another installment in the "Terminator" film series, this time in the form of "Terminator Genisys," which starred Arnold Swarzenegger, Emilia Clarke, Jai Courtney, and JK Simmons. Get to know if fans will still be able to see "Terminator 6."

"Terminator Genisys" earned over $440 million at the box office on a $124 million budget. This seemed like a safe bet that the franchise could move on to create "Terminator 6." The latest news to breakout about the "Genisys" sequel, is that the anticipated film may have been cancelled as per reports, and the Arnold Schwarzenegger, Emilia Clarke film might not push through.

Paramount Pictures Reportedly Cancels "Terminator Genisys" Sequel

According to Digital Spy, the studio behind "Terminator Genisys," Paramount Pictures is no longer game in creating "Terminator 6" or a reboot of the franchise. What's more is that stars Arnold Schwarzenegger, Emilia Clarke were both not offered new contracts for the supposed "Genisys" sequel. If the news is indeed true, this would mark the end of the film series that launched back in 1984.

It seems that "Game of Thrones" star, Emilia Clarke isn't interested in "Terminator 6" either, as she was once asked if she was already signed for another installment and she said no. Creator James Cameron himself admitted that it was difficult to "keep a franchise vigorous and relevant." But what does this mean for "Terminator 6?"

'Terminator 6' Reportedly Not Pushing Through

According to Screenrant, there may have been more factors that affected the cancellation of "Terminator 6." The studio was looking forward to "Genisys" as a way to "revive the franchise," but when they saw that it wasn't received well by critics, the studio was no longer interested in making "Terminator 6" and more sequels. Now that the Arnold Schwarzenegger, Emilia Clarke film won't see a sequel, will another studio pick up the film? Keep this page bookmarked to find out.
