As a recap of the recently aired episode of "NCIS LA" last Sunday (Mar. 19), it looks like Nell and Eric are about to take their relationship to the next level, while Callen deals with his own personal struggles, as he faces the truth about his relationship with Joelle. The ratings of the show also went up by a tenth with last Sunday's episode.

As a recap of last Sunday's episode of "NCIS LA," both Nell and Eric were assigned to go undercover as a couple to perform surveillance on suspected hackers of the Treasury Department. They had to act like a couple as they joined a couple's retreat, in hopes to get some answers on their suspects, who are also a couple. During the retreat, they were forced to do sweet and romantic things towards one another, including having to look into each other's eyes and telling one another how much they loved each other, and even recanting the moment they started falling in love as reported by TV Guide.

"NCIS LA" Goes Couple Retreat

As the two are obviously struggling with their own emotions, the still manage to befriend the suspects and were able to get information from them. As a result, they managed to discover that the couple was only blackmailed into hacking the Treasury Department, since the wife's sister was being held captive.

Sam and Anna were asked to do surveillance on another potential suspect, and the two teams converge, as they manage to catch the real bad guy of the episode. Eric then manages to save the day, as Nell makes out with him in excitement.

This was acted solely on feelings, as they were no longer acting as a couple. This was witnessed by Deeks and Kensi, as they pulled up their car just as the kiss happened.

What Happened To Callen In This Episode Of "NCIS LA"?

As for Callen, Hetty gives him another assignment and prospect to tail which led him to discover that his past lover whom he is still moving on from, Joelle is actually married with a 6-year-old son. He was later confronted by the latter, admitting that the husband and the son were indeed still in the picture even throughout the course of their relationship, which devastates Callen.

Hetty then admits to giving him this assignment on purpose to give him some closure and answers from his broken heart. With this episode, it has been reported that the ratings of "NCIS LA" raised by a tenth of its usual.
