One of the greatest honors to be received in a highly acclaimed TV series is to get promoted to a regular. That's exactly how Katie McGrath feels, now that her Lena Luthor has been bumped to series regular in upcoming season. "Supergirl" Season 2 is ending in a few weeks, but in the upcoming season this fall, viewers will get to see more of Katie McGrath's Lena Luthor.

Lena Luthor As Regular Character

According to Deadline, Katie McGrath's Lena Luthor is originally a recurring character, but come "Supergirl" Season 3, the actress will take on full time role in the series. She first debuted on the show in "Supergirl" Season 2 premiere and since then has appeared in seven episodes. Expect to see more of the Irish actress come season 3, however, as she has been bumped to series regular.

What Is CADMUS?

In "Supergirl" Season 2, Katie McGrath's Lena Luthor is the sister of Lex Luthor and daughter of Lillian Luthor, played by Brenda Strong. The relationship between Lena and Kara is a lot like that of Clark Kent and Lex Luthor, so it would be interesting to see how it will further develop in "Supergirl" Season 3. As per Screenrant, Lena is very different from the rest of the Luthors, as she is not part of the evil organization called CADMUS.

Now that Katie McGrath's Lena Luthor has been bumped to series regular in upcoming season, how will her relationship with Kara play out? "Supergirl" season 2 fans are eager to see on which team she'll be on, as she is still the blood relative of the Luthors. Will she turn evil, or will she stand by Kara and Supergirl?

There are only six more episodes left for "Supergirl" Season 2. To keep up on the latest news on the series, make sure to bookmark this page. Make sure to comment below on your thoughts on the show.
