'Avengers: Infinity War' News: Chris Evans Wants To Do A Hugh Jackman & Not Retire Captain America Yet

The third and fourth final films in the "Avengers" series is at least a year away, but one Avenger has his eye out for the future already. It seems that Chris Evans wants to do a Hugh Jackman and not retire Captain America just yet.

This is for good reason, as both the "Avengers" and "Captain America" franchises are multi-million dollar deals for these actors. But only a few could successfully hold on to a role for multiple films spanning decades. Hugh Jackman is the latest actor to hold that title, followed by Robert Downey Jr., who's played "Iron Man" in several Marvel flicks as well.

Evans Doing A Jackman?

According to Collider, the future is uncertain for Chris Evans, who wants to do a Hugh Jackman and not retire Captain America just yet. While the 35-year old is signed up for two more films ("Avengers: Infinity War" Parts 1 and 2), there's no clear future for him or his character. He admitted that his contract ends after "Avengers: Infinity War," but he's definitely open to furthering his career as Steve Rogers.

As Chris Evans wants to do a Hugh Jackman and not retire Captain America just yet, the actor also commended Marvel for producing films that are "cinema gold" and make it big in the box office. Evans said that he loves the character and that "It's tough thinking about not playing the guy."

Evans And His Love For Marvel

It seems that Chris Evans has fallen in love with the magnetic machine that is Marvel, as his recent sentiments don't echo his own from 2010. According to A.V. Club, the "Avengers: Infinity War" star previously expressed anxiety over big-budget films such as the "Avengers" and "Captain America" franchises.

Nonetheless, it seems like both Chris Evans and the people over at Marvel have created a great working relationship, as he continues to show up as Cap in films. Now, if Chris Evans wants to do a Hugh Jackman and not retire Captain America just yet remains to be seen.

The first "Avengers: Infinity War" film is set to arrive on May 4, 2018, and will be directed by Anthony and Joe Russo.
