Arguably the most anticipated films of spring is "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2," the sequel to the 2015 hit that launched Chris Pratt's Marvel superhero career, alongside Zoe Saldana and Dave Bautista. Of course, no one could forget the voice roles of Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel as Rocket and Groot, respectively.

More Surprises From The Sequel

Viewers thought the franchise couldn't get any better and boy, they were wrong. With James Gunn at the helm once again, the production outdid itself by adding Kurt Russell to play Ego the Living Planet, who is also Peter Quill's father.

Kurt Russell spoke to Mashable last year, when the role was under wraps and he was only limited to share generic information about his character, code-named "J-son." Nonetheless, he revealed in the now-published interview that Ego the Living Planet is a "fighter." He called the character "an aventurous sort" who has experience using a wide range of weapons in "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2."

Russell Opened Up About Working With Pratt

But aside from playing Peter Quill's father in "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2," Kurt Russell admitted that he enjoyed acting with Chris Pratt. He likened his acting style to Pratt's, which 30 years ago confounded his contemporaries.

According to Gizmodo, Russell likened his on-screen relationship with Pratt to his real-life relationship with him. The actor lauded the "Parks and Recreation" star's skills and admitted that he enjoyed acting with Chris Pratt.

"Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" is set to arrive this May 5, and with it is the return of Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Dave Bautista as Drax, and the voices of Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel as Rocket and Groot, respectively. There's also the addition of Karen Gillan's Nebula, Michael Rooker's Yondu, and Pom Klementieff's Mantis as the new Guardians. Comment below on what you're looking forward to the most in "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2."
