"Bates Motel" Season 1 Episode 6 Includes A Plot Twist
The A&E show featured a different take on the modern version of Marion Crane. Janet Leigh previously played the role in Alfred Hitchcock's classic horror flick. Rihanna, on the other hand, portrayed the character with a surprising twist.
Norman succeeded in fighting his mom's suggestion to kill her. In the movie, Norman killed Marion while she was taking a shower. This time, it was Sam who got killed instead.
Marion To Return Again?
Showrunners Kerry Ehrin and Carlton Cuse shared some details about the massive reveal about Marion's character. Sadly, they said that it will be Marion's last appearance on the show.
The creative duo told Variety that used various scenarios to strengthen her role. However, the crew felt "excited" over the final cut where they redefined Marion.
Both Ehrin and Cuse also defended their decision in picking Sam as the victim. "There was no way to redefine Marion Crane as a modern empowered woman if we killed her in the shower," Cuse added.
