'13 Reasons Why' Season 2 Spoilers: Jay Asher Reveals Original Ending; Book 2 Updates

"13 Reasons Why" author, Jay Asher recently shared his thoughts on having another season in the future. Both he and the network have not announced the possible sequel yet.
Netflix streamed all of the episodes on Mar. 31, 2017. Critics lauded the series for its socially relevant theme and performances of the cast members.
"13 Reasons Why" Season 2 In The Works?
The first season ended with some cliffhangers for the other characters. Asher said that they are yet to deal with the consequences of their actions towards Hannah and Tyler.
The best-selling writer told Entertainment Weekly that he actually thought of a sequel but he did not push through with it. “Things weren’t left open in the hopes of a sequel," Asher said. "There is no end for the characters left behind.”
Hanna Lives In Original Plot
In another interview with Entertainment Weekly, Asher revealed an alternative ending for the novel. Hannah survived her suicide attempt in that version. According to him, the doctors might have saved her by pumping the pills out of her stomach.
But the scribe wants to tell a "different story." He expressed his gratefulness that Hannah got the chance to have a bigger part in the Netflix show.
As for the novel, Asher said that there will not be a continuation of the book version. He added that he his open to other possibilities.
“You can explore that world further in a different medium,” Asher said, “and the book will still be able to be itself. I don’t think the show is affecting what the book is saying.”
The book and TV adaptations of "13 Reasons Why" follow Clay, as he finds more details about Hannah's suicide. It was after he and 12 other people received a box of recorded tapes. The series star Dylan Minnette and Katherine Longford.
