‘Mega Man’ Animated Series Airs On Cartoon Network; Series Introduces New Characters

Here's some beautiful news for animation lovers - “Mega Man” has been picked up by Cartoon Network recently. DHX Media has signed an agreement with Cartoon Network to air the animated series in the United States.

Production For “Mega Man” Series Is Yet To Start

The series, “Mega Man” is being written by Man of Action Entertainment, which is also popularly called Man of Action Studios. The studio was established in 2005 by comic book writers: Joe Kelly, Joe Casey, Duncan Rouleau, and Steven T. Seagle.

So far, the release date for the new “Mega Man” series is not yet revealed because this is just the announcement of their tie-up. It is also said that the production is about to start this summer, which means fans will have to wait at least a year to see the release.

Mega Mini And Suna Light Will Be Included In “Mega Man” Series

It is a big opportunity for viewers, mainly kids to be amused once again with the new “Mega Man” series. The series will reportedly center around Aki Light (a school boy robot outfitted with super armor) and cater to kids mainly between 6 and 11 years, including their parents who grew up with the franchise.

Some reports also claimed that apart from Mega Man’s dog, Rush, other iconic characters including new ones like, Mega Mini and Suna Light will also be featured in the series, Flickering Myth elaborated. DHX Content’s Senior Vice President and Executive Producer, Ken Faier said that he and other members at DHX Media are thrilled to know that Cartoon Network has picked up the new “Mega Man” series for its viewers in the United States.

This selection proves the demand for their original kids’ content. “(This deal) highlights the strength of our strategy of collaborating with leading industry peers such as Dentsu and Man of Action to refresh evergreen properties for today’s kids,” Bleeding Cool reported.
