Chiropractic Treatment May Ease Back Pain, Study Says [VIDEO]
A new analysis suggests that chiropractic treatment can help ease back pain. The study indicates that spine manipulation can have some relief for back pain than taking any pain reliever.
There is no quick fix for lower back pain. However, chiropractic treatment for back pain can help people get a good relief from the discomfort that the pain may entail according to WebMD. There has been a review conducted to 26 clinical trials for chiropractic treatment.
The spinal manipulation is found, to ease the pain for people suffering from acute low back pain. This pain is said to be one that has been ongoing for more than six weeks. Chiropractic treatment for back pain is not a guarantee that the pain would be gone quickly.
There are some benefits that chiropractic treatment would give to people who are suffering from back pain. These benefits are known to be similar to the effects that ibuprofen and naproxen will give to the patients.
In the meantime, the American College of Physicians (ACP) released some guidelines in order to manage low back pain. These guidelines were non-drug related. The guidelines to ease out low back pain include acupuncture, heat wraps, massage, exercise and spinal manipulation.
Meanwhile, it is indicated that when spinal manipulation was done to patients with low back pain, there has been an improvement with the pain and the patients were able to function well as reported by CNN. However, the study also suggests that the relief of pain may differ from each individual.
There were those that found relief right away once spinal manipulation was done. There were also those that do not feel the effect at all. There are doctors who would suggest taking over the counter pills for low back pain.
Chiropractor treatment may help ease the pain on the back but if a patient still experiences pain, the best is to seek professional assistance.
