The Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani relationship took another turn when the country singer "blamed" his girlfriend for his own mistake on "The Voice" Season 12. The behavior did not go well with fans and they lambasted the 41-year-old singer for his behavior.

Recently, the country singer made a dense move on the musical show and shocked many of the Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani fans. According to Wetpaint, fans did not like how the ex-husband of Miranda Lambert blamed his girlfriend and the other judges for his own mistake on live television.

It all happened on one of the episodes of "The Voice" Season 12, where Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are the judges, along with Adam Levine and Alicia Keys. In the concerned episode, Brandon Royal, one of the contestants rendered Bob Marley's "Redemption Song" during the knockout of the third round.

Surprisingly, Shelton could not recognize the classic song by Marley and instead decided to add it to his critique. And with that, changed everything - as apart from Stefani, fellow judge Keys also slammed the country singer for not recognizing one of the biggest hits from the reggae icon.

Blake Shelton Came Up With Lame Excuse

The cracks in the relationship of Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani were evident when the former tried to make a lame excuse by saying he knows about "One Love." When he realized that this excuse was not going to be accepted, he immediately put all the blame on his girlfriend, Stefani for not expanding his knowledge regarding music.

Shelton even told the other judge, Alicia Keys that it was sort of Stefani's responsibility. However fans of the show immediately pointed out that the country singer has already heard the song in one of the previous seasons of "The Voice," reports Fox news.

Maybe the "Came Here To Forget" singer really blacked out and forgot about the song. But fans slammed him for putting all the responsibility on his girlfriend. Was it all in fun or will it affect the romance between Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani?
