Rihanna and Drake are both all set to face each other once again, as they will be leading the nominations at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards. According to Caribbean 360, the 30-year old Drake has tied in terms of all-time records, with The Chainsmokers (consisting of Alex Pall and Andrew Taggart) for the most nomination in a single year - with a whopping 22 nods.
On the other hand, the source also notified that if Rihanna and Drake are able to bag over 12 awards, they will surpass Adele, who made a record for winning the most in a single night. Apart from this, latest news suggested that the former couple (Rihanna and Drake) will be going directly in multiple categories, which also include the Top Artist award.
Other Contenders For Drake And Rihanna At 2017 Billboard Music Awards
Drake competes with Justin Bieber, Shawn Mendes, Future, and The Weeknd for the category of Top Male Artist. The competition of Rihanna will take place for the category of Top Female Artist with Beyoncé, Adele, Sia, and Ariana Grande.
“Twenty One Pilots follows with 17 nominations, then Rihanna with 14, The Weeknd with 13 and Beyonce with 8,” as reported by Billboard. Julia Michaels and Pete Wentz announced the first five categories last Monday (Apr. 17) on "Good Morning America."
