‘The Winds Of Winter’ Update: George R.R. Martin's Book Release Before ‘Game Of Thrones’ Season 7 Premiere
“The Winds Of Winter,” the most anticipated 6th volume of “A Song Of Ice And Fire” series was about to be launched before the release of season 6 of “Game Of Thrones,” but that did not happen. Now, fans are hoping to see its release before the premiere of “Game Of Thrones” Season 7.
The author George R. R. Martin announced on his blog site on Jan. 2017 that he might be able to release “The Winds Of Winter” anytime in 2017 once he is able to complete it. The 68-year old Martin launched “Stagecoach Foundation” in Mar. 2017, the organization that is dedicated to putting his hometown of Santa Fe under the spotlight.
Why Is Martin Delaying The Release Of “The Winds Of Winter?”
According to Travelers Today, a cause of delay for the release of “The Winds Of Winter” is mainly because Martin has a busy schedule and a lot of other commitments. Some are even saying that it is not possible for him to release his work even before “Game Of Thrones” Season 8.
“Besides all that, there’s been the huge new Wild Cards deal, the Wild Cards reread, lots of stuff with HBO that I cannot talk about yet, and of course — always, always — “Winds Of Winter,” Martin wrote on his blog, as reported by The Christian Post.
Demand For Martin’s “The Winds Of Winter” Is Increasing Vehemently
George Martin’s “The Winds Of Winter” is actually the 6th book in the series. “A Dance with Dragons” is known as the previous installment released in July 2011.
It has been over six years that fans are eagerly waiting for the release of the new series. The long duration between these two books have created a huge demand and it seems Martin himself can’t delay the release for a long period.
