‘The Winds of Winter’ Reportedly At Proofreading Stage; Delay As George R.R. Martin Focuses On Other Projects
"The Winds of Winter" release date is surely delayed yet again. And it is only because of the author of the book, George R.R. Martin who is allegedly too busy with other projects that he cannot focus on the novel.
"The Winds of Winter" is the sixth volume of the book, "A Song of Ice and Fire" by George R.R. Martin, reports Celebeat. The latest book was expected to hit the stores much before the release of "Game of Thrones" Season 6. But now, it seems that the book may not come until the release of "Game of Thrones" Season 7.
'The Winds of Winter' Is At Proofreading Stage
Latest reports suggested that the much-awaited book is at the proofreading stage and may release sooner than expected. But there are no such confirmations from the author or the publisher of the novel. Earlier reports indicated that "The Winds of Winter" will release simultaneously with "Game of Thrones" Season 7.
It is, of course, possible if George Martin has indeed completed the book and is at the proofreading stage. But the latest reports suggest that the multi-awarded writer is so busy with other projects that he is yet to complete the story of "The Winds of Winter." George R.R. Martin is currently busy in a stagecoach project, that is to help the local New Mexico people sharpen their acting skills.
George Martin Busy With New Wild Cards Deal
According to the source, the writer of "The Winds of Winter" is also enormously busy with new Wild Cards deal and a new project with HBO. Although the official statement on his blog said that the book is still of priority, it does not seem so at the moment.
George is not very much active on his Twitter account and usually only posts links to his blogs, reports Observer. The last post from Jan. 2016 said that "The Winds of Winter" will be complete before 2017.
However, now the author added that it will be done when it's done. So as of now, there is no definite release date for "The Winds of Winter" and fans do not have any other option but to wait and watch.
