Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck had their fans wondering if they were going to be back together or if they are going to file for divorce. Yet, the couple has finally decided to file for divorce recently and it still came as a shock to the public.

A report from People recently confirmed that Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck officially filed for divorce. The news still shocked many people, since the public was expecting they would reconcile.

Rare Country also unveiled that Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck had a mutual decision to file for divorce, despite their good co-parenting relationship. The "Elektra" actress even admitted that the decision is still hurtful, yet they choose to do the best for their family.

“Jen waited for the right time,” a source close to Garner said in an interview. “She was not going to file for divorce while Ben was struggling. She is very proud of him for getting help. As in any marriage, there were numerous reasons why it did not work.”

Couple Works Amicably For Their Kids

Even though, Garner and Affleck share their parenting duties, the "Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice" actor might still move out, per insiders. Affleck is still reportedly living with Garner and the kids at the moment. However, it is yet to be confirmed as to whether or not the "Pearl Harbor" actor would want to move out.

“When and if he moves out, it will be when he finds a place suitable for their situation. They want to keep the kids close.”
