‘The Fate Of The Furious’ Spinoff: Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham Allegedly Stars In Series Without Vin Diesel
"The Fate Of The Furious" will reportedly have a spinoff. It will supposedly star Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham, which made fans ask if Vin Diesel would be part of the spinoff.
According to a recent report from Deadline, Universal is interested to make a spinoff of "The Fate Of The Furious," which will focus on the characters of Jason Statham and Dwayne Johnson. The story will begin where the characters of the two actors were recently showed in the "Fast 8" movie.
"The Fate of the Furious" Franchise Will Broaden Spinoff's Story
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the show will be written by Chris Morgan. The spinoff will make Dwayne Johnson’s U.S. Diplomatic Security Agent, Luke Hobbs to form an alliance with Jason Statham’s, Decker Shaw for a film that conceivably could be made while they are figuring the next "Fast and Furious" installment.
It can be rememberred that the "Moana" actor stepped into the hit movie franchise during the "Fast Five" movie. Meanwhile, Statham joined the "Fast & Furious 6" movie. Both of these characters were antagonists at first, but then they were able to gain the trust of the street racing family of Vin Diesel's character, Dominic Toretto.
Morgan Has Not Yet Started Writing
As of now, Morgan has not yet begun writing, which is the reason why the details about the possible spinoff is still closed. However, Johnson and Statham reportedly had a good working chemistry and relationship.
New reports claimed that Statham will have a new movie called, "Meg," while Johnson will be seen in the "Baywatch" film on May and in "Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle" by Dec.
As of this date, there is still no news if Vin Diesel will be joining Jason Statham and Dwayne Johnson in the "The Fate Of The Furious" spinoff. Stay tuned for more updates on "The Fate Of The Furious" and the "Fast" franchise.
