There will be a double-part celebration for the former and current students of Riverdale High School. Betty has led the festivities for the upcoming Homecoming and Reunion weekend for everyone. There might be some little hiccups, since the other characters have their own issues to resolve.

Alice will seek the help of her daughter's friends to investigate the death of Jason Blossom. But her dark past with FP and his gang might also pose a problem.

Betty will not be happy after hearing this news. In other news, Cheryl and Polly will also attend the event in honor of Jason.

Molly Ringwald's upcoming appearance as Mary Andrews is finally happening. However, other characters will not happy with her arrival.

She previously left Fred and their son Archie in order to pursue her dreams few years ago. Fred feels "scared" because it might affect his progress from moving on with their strained past. Meanwhile, Archie has an opposite take on this, as he remains hopeful that they will get back together.

Despite having pending divorce papers, Mary returns just in time for the high school reunion of their batch. Sacasa said that she might bring a lot of new "game-changing" details about her shared past with the "Riverdale" citizen. He told TV Line, “You could immediately get into a story with them… they know things about each other that their kids don’t know.”

"Riverdale" Casting Updates

TVLine also shared some important news about the cast ahead of "Riverdale" Season 2. Mark Consuelos will portray Hiram Lodge, the mysterious father of Veronica. He will make his debut in the second season of the series.

Fans must finally say goodbye to Ross Butler, who plays the resident funny and sexy guy, Reggie Mantle. On the other hand, he also got another huge role under his belt. He previously portrayed Zach Dempsey in "13 Reasons Why."

The show then decided on recasting his character, since the 26-year-old actor is also busy with his other projects. In an interview with the outlet, Sacasa remains hopeful that they may find a suitable actor who can fill Butler's shoes.
