According to The Mirror, the former One Direction frontman, who now launched his solo single from his upcoming debut album, Harry Styles - has shared details about his relationship with Taylor Swift. The "Sign of the Times" singer reportedly learned a lot from their past relationship and knows their time together was not normal.

Harry Styles Believe Dating Taylor Swift Was A Learning Experience

The former One Direction star, Harry Styles discussed his past relationship with Taylor Swift during his interview with Rolling Stones magazine, as he promoted his solo album. Styles admitted that his relationship with the "I Knew You Were Trouble" singer was difficult for him.

Styles even shared his thoughts about his picture with the "Love Story" music maker at Central Park in New York City, taken in 2012. He admitted that he just wanted that day to be a normal one and just have a normal date with Swift.

"When I see photos from that day I think: Relationships are hard, at any age. And adding in that you do not really understand exactly how it works when you are 18, trying to navigate all that stuff did not make it easier," he said.

"I mean, you are a little bit awkward to begin with. You are on a date with someone you really like. It should be that simple, right? It was a learning experience for sure. But at the heart of it - I just wanted it to be a normal date.” Styles added.

Styles Talks About Swift's "Style" and "Out Of The Woods"

The former 1D star also revealed that he does not know if Swift's songs, "Style" and "Out Of The Woods" were about him or not, but he knows how great the songs are. He even admitted that he also writes songs from his experiences, which is why he believes he is lucky enough if their relationship inspired Swift to create those songs.

As of now, Harry Styles and Taylor Swift are both single and both camps have expressed their regrets about their past. The two are also busy working on their respective careers.
