Laziness Is Contagious: Studies Scientists Say Fried Foods And Cooking Oil Makes A Person Lazy
A new study found out that cooking oil can actually cause laziness in a person. Consumption of fried foods can be the reason as to why a lazy behavior becomes triggered.
According to a recent report from Hindustan Times, the choice of cooking oil has an impact in someone's health and laziness. A recent study suggested that the choice of cooking oil a person has, can actually sabotage their health.
Fatty Acids Found In Cooking Oil Cause Laziness
A published research claimed that the high consumption of polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) but not the monounsaturated fatty acids (MUFA) can actually lead to laziness, sedentary behavior in men and especially, women. Sanjay Ghosh who is a professor at UBC’s Okanagan campus stated that the relation of MUFA and PUFA led researchers to study the effects of fatty acids in health.
“Our study does present new evidence that dietary PUFA is strongly associated with sedentary behavior among pre-teen girls," Ghosh said, "and weakly associated with diabetes among adult women across Europe."
As per the report, all fats in the comfort foods section including potato chips, crackers, energy bars, or hamburgers use cooking oil such as sunflower, corn, soybean, and also margarine. These cooking oils are all rich in MUFAs and PUFAs.
“This data is extremely significant. Nobody has made this connection and it is time for an intervention," Ghosh added. "If someone is beginning an exercise programme without taking a close look at the fats, especially PUFA they are consuming, or changing what they’re eating, then it might be doomed to failure.”

Psych Central revealed that behind each laziness is a reason. However, shameful thoughts also have an impact to one's well-being. Perhaps, laziness is caused by the thoughts of feeling criticized and the fear to fail.
“The biggest reason people aren’t more self-compassionate is that they are afraid they will become self-indulgent, Neff says. "They believe self-criticism is what keeps them in line."
However, people must know that there are answers to laziness and lazy behavior is not advised, especially if one is aiming for a better health. Stay tuned for more updates.
