A Miami mother-of-two died 10 hours after receiving butt-enhancement injections from a man who claimed to be a doctor from Venezuela.

Suyima Torres, 28, had paid $2,300 cash to plump up her buttocks at the cosmetic surgery center Cuerpos Health and Aesthetics on April 11. However, just moments after her April procedure felt dizzy and stumbled into the strip mall parking lot looking disoriented. Witnesses say that she was cold and trembling despite that hot Miami weather.

"I was looking at her, and she fell down so I went outside, I picked her up, I asked her where's her car," a neighboring business owner told NBC 6. He said he immediately dialed 911 after he helped her up.

The mother of a seven and eight-year-old was rushed to the hospital accompanied by the center's owner, Ruth Planas. However, Planas never told the doctors about the butt surgery, according to Torres' family.

The young mother died hours later, but her family believes the tragedy could have been prevented.

"Maybe if that woman would've told them early my daughter would still be here," Espinosa said.

Police have launched an investigation and are treating it as manslaughter connected to the unlicensed practice of medicine.

The Miami-Dade Police Department seized records, medications and computers from the center and questioned Planas. However, Planas as refused to provide any information on the Venezuelan doctor who performed the surgery, according to CBS Miami.

According to court documents Torres had had an oily yellow substance injected into each of her butt cheeks. However, the surgeon who performed the deadly procedure is thought to have fled the country.

According to the Daily News, Torres died 16 days after another young woman was hospitalized in intensive care for vision problems and bleeding lungs after receiving butt implants from the same facility Torres got her butt injections.
