What Your Morning Brew Says About You

Switching from tea to coffee may get you a raise, a new survey suggests.

Researchers found that people who drink coffee are more likely to be hotheaded, argumentative and feisty, according to researchers. However, even though they don't play nice, researchers found that employees who drink coffee got more raises over the last five years than those who drink tea.  The survey found that coffee drinkers made on average $53,894 a year, which was $3,364 than tea drinkers.

While employees who prefer tea are less likely to get promotions, they tend to be reasonable and laid-back at work, according to the survey conducted by Zip HydroTap instant water heaters.

The poll also revealed that coffee drinkers were more likely to be the executives, while tea drinkers were more likely to be "the life and soul" of the office.

Tea drinkers were more likely to be team players compared to coffee drinkers, with 84 percent of tea drinkers and 74 percent of coffee drinkers claiming to be team players.

While tea drinkers were more likely to say they were "very stressed," coffee drinkers were more likely to be late for work.

"Most workers need a cup of tea or coffee to get them through the day and most people could instantly define themselves as either a tea or coffee drinker," said Zip spokesman Nick Taylor, according to the Daily Mail.

"Workers up and down the country will be able to relate to the findings of this poll," Taylor said.  "We all know the coffee fiend who needs their caffeine fix before they start the day or the tea lover who has strict requirements about how their brew is made."
