1 in 6 Wives Don't Undress In Front of Their Husbands
One in six wives will not let their husbands see them naked, according to a new survey.
The poll, which involved 1,902 women from the UK, revealed that 17 percent of women have not let their husbands see them in the nude in over a year. These women admitted that they have not undressed in front of their husbands in the last 12 months.
Researchers found that almost half of the women said it was because they felt insecure about their appearance and a third said it was because they just didn't feel like having sex.
The survey revealed that two in five women said that their marriage had suffered as a result and more than a third claimed that their refusal to let their husbands see them naked led to arguments.
"Body confidence is a huge element of women's sex lives, and it seems a lack thereof is causing problems," said Sarah Bailey, from online pharmacist UKMedix.com, which sponsored the survey, according to the Daily Mail.
"A relatively high percentage of married women haven't allowed their partner to see them nude in the past 12 months or more," Bailey said.
"Women must remember that even though they may not love their bodies, chances are their partner does - and no relationship is worth sacrificing for a lack of confidence in the looks department," she added.
