95 Percent Accurate Software Will Help You Find Your Perfect Date
A software is out to bring in some peace and consistency in your love life. The software will help you find a perfect match on online dating sites with reportedly 95 percent accuracy
Researchers at University of Iowa have created the algorithm that backs the software. The algorithm is very similar to the user recommendation engines used on websites like Amazon, Facebook and LinkedIN.
Initially before making any recommendations, it scans the list of single people whom you have messaged before. Then it looks for similar users who have messaged similar singles. Subsequently it lists out the potential dates that other users have contact but you have not yet.
Then the recommendation engine rates your attractiveness. Eventually the engine removes users that might not find you attractive. And hence you end up getting a list that is more accurate.
In the meantime, users are required to answer questionnaires that explore their personality traits. There are also questions regarding the criteria that you might be interested in.
To create the formula, researchers Kang Zhao, Xi Wang, Mo Yu and Bo Gao began by looking at the recommendation engines online dating sites currently use, reported by Daily Mail.
For testing the accuracy, researchers used entire data sets from a dating website which had details on about 47,000 users over 196 days. They scanned the first 98 days of data to discover a particular user’s taste. It then selected the users who had sent five or more messages.
Around 159,558 pairs of contacts were included and their data suggest the response rates were around 95 percent accurate.
